CF MOTO V5 Mods

Big weekend for my Cf Moto V5 motorcycle which uses the 172mm engine with 250cc of power. This engine is also used in most 250cc scooters modeled after the Honda CN250 power plant. By adding a high performance exhaust from MRP Speed along with a Dr Pully clutch new racing CDI plus 21 gram Dr Pully roller weights my mods were done and ready to ride. Although the Polini Vespa clutch bell I did want to use did not fit as did the stock one I had to take a clutch bell from an Expressway by JMStar which also lets me know the Dr Pully clutch will bolt right up this scooter which is needed to get the Expressway up to top speed when needed, my experience is a new clutch from Dr Pully in a 250cc scooter does the trick nicely. These bigger scooters really benifit from high perfromance parts to get the power when neeeded when driving at freeway speeds of 55-70. You need responce at these speeds and you get it with these parts such as a clutch. Once I got the V5 on the road its was quicker and had gained not only a quick take off but massive top end to get 72mph and hold it for a top cruising speed. If 72 was not enough there was more this just as fast as I cared to go so far, when I get it to track we will see what a quater mile does for it. My top speed on the weekend was 76 but once again I only held this for a mile just to see what she would do. I will be adding a racing head soon, my motor is screaming now just think what it will do with a new head.

If you have a 250cc scooter adding high performance such as exhaust and clutch is a wise choice. The performance I get from mine tells me these will be hot sellers in the very near future. This can only reinforce what can be done to a stock scooter no matter what size from 49cc to 300cc.

The Scooter Shop at Scootertronics

New Room

Slightly more room to show a few scooters plus storage and office space in Sykesville is growing with the addition of Vento and Keeway scooters to our line up in 2007.

My Cf Moto V5 got service with new Dr Pully weights at 21gram to put the zip back in the take off. These weights were felt at first throttle, stock weights were worn a good bit to make a difference. Now this is at 6235 miles which has the stock brand name belt looking great with no signs of wear even though I had new belt to put on I choose not to till a few more thousand miles but most likely change during final mod with UNI clutch plus high performance exhaust. Will need to use a Polini clutch bell for Dr Pully UNI clutch. This will give some much needed speed to top end plus take at the track.
